Regarding "Muhammad Yunus, Banker to the Poor": It was great to read about someone doing something so small, yet so positive in today's society. With the Iraq war and all the other problems going on in Africa, Lebanon and so many other places around the world, it's reassuring that there are people still out there trying to make a difference. Yunus proves that something so trivial to most people, $27, can spark a chain of positive reactions. Thanks for the uplifting article.

First off I want to say that I enjoy reading all of the articles and they are all written very well. I like the fact that there are even stories on how to save money and where to buy holiday gifts because we all know college students don't have all the money in the world. One of the stories that I really enjoyed was the one about the two Mesa students who saved a man's life from drowning. It really recognizes Mesa students for their potential and makes them look like heroes, which they are. As far as suggestions go I would say to just avoid old articles like the smoking battle and the parking dispute because we all know how hard parking is and we all know that we have new smoking parameters at the campus. The Mesa Press has done a great job and I really like how they cover not just San Diego news but world news too. Keep up the great work!

I was recently told that I could earn extra credit in my journalism class by sending in a letter to the editor. However, when my professor told us about the assignment, she mentioned that we could read the paper online or on the rack in order to develop topics for the letter. I was instantly struck by the topic right when it was assigned, for I had never realized that the Mesa Press newspaper was available online. I am wondering what you do at the paper to make it known that the paper is also available online. Is it in the paper somewhere that the same issue can be available by computer? In every class involving news, students are reminded that the internet is one of the best sources for up to date news and breaking stories. Has the Mesa Press ever considered doing something like this? I am sure that things come up, such as the recent death of a Mesa student, that could be put online right away to inform Mesa students. Just a thought.
