School Bus crashes into Children’s Center near Mesa College

A school bus crashed into the San Diego Children’s Center at 3002 Armstrong St. on May 16. The Children’s Center is a non-profit organization near San Diego Mesa College.

The Mesa Press was the first to arrive on scene. Authorities said no children were on the bus and no one was inside the building when the crash happened.. The bus driver, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.

Contractors and a member of the school district responded to the scene of the crash to assess the damage to the building and the bus. The San Diego Police Department said that the building is a dormitory and that there were minor damages to the bus and the building.

The San Diego Children’s Center specialises in caring for children with behavioral healthcare. This includes counseling, education, and foster care.
