Mesa fashion students competed in the California State Fashion Symposium in Los Angeles on April 19. The sewed, cut, and created their way to 14 wins, including two “Best in Show” awards.
Industry experts judged designs by the students during the fashion show in which other students modeled an array of attire. The 12 community colleges in the symposium competed in a variety of contests including denim deconstruction, handbag design and quality comparison.
