Our campus column: Sex and San Diego? Dear Nicole? What the F**K?
I’d like to know what my fellow Mesa colleagues would you like to hear about in each issue of our paper this semester.
We are giving everyone the chance to be involved and have a part in their campus publication. Some students asked say they would like to receive advice about relationships; others would like to be updated about certain topics such as music, food or sports.
Now, Seeing that I’m no food connoisseur and you definitely would not want to trust my opinion in athletics, that leaves us with the options of Love, Sex and Gossip.
I’d like to remind you guys that at a college paper many rights protect us. The biggest being that students who are empowered by the freedom of speech run The Mesa Press and I could basically write about how you walked in on your parents doing the dirty and how you’re scarred for life…and no one could yell at me. Fun right? So please send in your input, and let’s make this fun.
Also, you can make the letters anonymous or you can put your name in bold letters, “This is Ashley Smith and I hate men!” Or, “I’m in love with the red head who sits alone in the chair on the second floor of the library every Monday, call me”. I’ll be sure to let everyone know.
If you’re wondering who the hell I am…Hi, I’m Nicole DeJesus, I’m 22 and this is my second semester on the paper and my last semester here at Mesa. I’m majoring in Journalism, duh, and I love to write.
I have been around the block when it comes to relationships and I know a thing or two about how much they can suck. I’m usually the one my friends lean on for advice about how to play the dating game, what they should or shouldn’t say and just about any and every situation you can get yourself into when being single in San Diego.
But enough about me, I want to hear about you guys.
