On April 3-6 the Mesa Press attended the Journalism Association of Community Colleges (JACC) conference in Los Angeles. Over 500 students from four different states attended. Speakers from the LA Times and several independent newspapers hosted workshops and coached students on how to prepare themselves for moving on into the working world. Every school had the opportunity to enter multiple writing, photographic, and various other types of contests. Here are the winners from the Mesa Press.
