Women’s volleyball

After their San Diego Mesa College Invitational Tourney,finishing their preseason games with a standing of 3-2, and the San Diego Mesa College Invitational, Mesa’s women’s volleyball team proceeded to win their first conference match of the season against Cuyamaca College on October 2nd.
On the Sept. 16 game against Irvine Valley College, the visiting Lady Olympians fell to the Lasers in three games (25-20, 25-17,25-16), concluding Mesa’s preseason games and bringing their record to 3-2 overall.
The Mesa team challenged Saddleback College on Sept. 30 where the Olympians defeated the Gauchos on their home court in four games (25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 25-14). Competition between the two teams was very close, with Mesa and Saddleback switching wins and losses in the first three games
The San Diego Mesa College Invitational volleyball tournament was held on Sept. 18 and 19 at Mesa and Grossmont College’s gymnasiums.
After theirThe Lady Olympians, under the guidance of Coach Kim Lester were able to secure themselves a 3-0 win against the visiting Cuyamaca College Coyotes on October 2nd.
In the first set of the game players Heather Hartwell, Lindsey Jardine, Karina Heredia, Delea Pursel
In the last set of the game Freshman Kelsey Magness came in with 3 service aces and 2 kills and Mesa defeated Cuyamaca 25-13.
