The dance synthesis at San Diego Mesa College offers one of the most colorful and vibrant performances on campus. Choreography from the show has a wide variety of music and culture. With different genres of music along with unique sets of dances. It’s an excellent presentation showcasing the unique art at Mesa College.
The event had music from various artists like Kendrick Lamar, Silk Sonic and Doja Cat, with each set having a dance routine match with the song. For example, slower tracks had a more melodic and calculated composition, while more active and louder tunes had faster dances.
Inside the theater a multitude of bright and warm colors were shown. This helped demonstrate the certain emotion or feelings being cast in a specific scene. With little to no objects being used in the scenery, it allowed for the audience to fully capture the dancers and their movements.
The Mesa dance students hosted a great show that demonstrated advanced college-level choreography and a unique wardrobe also made by studying Mesa scholars as well. The synthesis is all around made by students and is for the community surrounding it.
The performance created a warm and welcoming experience. Visuals along with preformances that compliment each other. The presentation was a great event for those who enjoy visual arts and live performances.
