Von Zimmer: “Freddies Extra Teeth”

Von Zimmer “Freddie’s Extra Teeth”

Based in South Dakota, Von Zimmer is a songwriter who has made his way to San Diego with his unique sound and complex wording. His album, “Freddie’s Extra Teeth”, has grasped the attention of many. Combining old and new sounds Zimmer can be compared to “The Beatles” or “The Rolling Stones” type of genre. It has a pop, rock and roll, experimental type of feel. With his witty word play and descriptive lyrics he manages to keep a listener entertained. With an album of ten songs, Zimmer was able to write tunes that can be relatable to whatever the listener is going through. In his song “Epic Fail Blues”, Zimmer expresses different stories of people who have had unfortunate events in their lives and their unlucky love matches. Although all of his tracks stay descriptive, “Your Song” is the hit that can make anyone a Von Zimmer fan. Its corky lyrics and old-fashioned sound can take a listener back in time. As described in his CD booklet, Zimmer created this album for his own gratification. With sarcasm and analogies, he explains that he finds satisfaction in putting his work out there, whether it turns out to be successful or not.
