Chelsea King Remembered

People from across San Diego gathered at Poway High school to remember Chelsea King. About 5000 people gathered to celebrate Chelsea kings life and to remember her. Chelsea disappeared while running in Rancho Bernardo Community Park on Feb. 25. Several thousand volunteers had helped in the search before her body was found five days later. Registered sex offender John Albert Gardner III has pleaded not guilty to raping and killing her. Chelsea’s parents and brother spoke of her in kind words and to pray that this would not happen again to anyone else. Chelsea’s teachers and friend also spoke telling of the cheer and smiles that she brought to everyone around her. Chelsea’s story has been covered throughout the world and a public out cry to change the law to keep sex offenders behind bars. Thousands of sunflower were passed out to honor Chelsea.
