Ryelee Belgarde
Ryelee Belgarde, Social Media Editor
Ryelee is a freshmen at Mesa College who is majoring in Journalism, and hopes to transfer is SDSU in the fall of 2024. This is Ryelee's first semester on the Mesa Press, although she does have experience writing for her high school paper. In her free time Ryelee likes to read, crochet, and when it's nice she likes to go to the farmers markets or the beach.
Nicole Hayek
Nicole Hayek, Editor-in-Chief
Nicole Hayek is the Editor-in-Chief at the Mesa Press. She is currently a second year student at San Diego Mesa College with high hopes to transfer to San Diego State University in the fall of 2023. Hayek is a Journalism major and this is her second semester working with the Mesa Press. She moved from Northern California to San Diego last fall to attend college. In her free time, Hayek loves to hike, paddle board, snowboard, and hang out with her friends. She plans to receive a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and pursue her dreams of becoming a Journalist. 
Francesca Clark
Francesca Clark, Staff Writer
Francesca Clark is a native San Diegan majoring in Journalism at Mesa College. While this is her first year writing for the Mesa Press, she has experience in freelance writing and is currently the author of a commerce website. When she is not studying, Clark can be found reading a nonfiction book, attending a concert, or lifting weights at the gym. Upon graduating with an associate's degree from Mesa, Clark hopes to transfer to Point Loma Nazarene University to complete her degree in Journalism with an emphasis in religious terrorism.
Xamara Aleman
Xamara Aleman, News Editor
Xamara Aleman is the News Editor for The Mesa Press and is a journalism major at San Diego Mesa College. She plans to graduate with an associate's degree to transfer by Spring 2023. Aleman's goal is to transfer to San Diego State to pursue a bachelor's degree in journalism to work in public relations and news. She specifically wants to write about political issues and cover news stories around the world. When Xamara is not working on The Mesa Press she's usually teaching swim lessons, lifeguarding, swimming, or surfing.
