New sound in reggae from Iration

New sound in reggae from Iration

Reggae music never seems to go out of style. Originated in Hawaii, Iration is the new sound of reggae, putting them in their own unique category of music.

Iration mixes the elements of both rock and reggae with keyboards and harmonious vocals. They synthesize to make something rare, yet enjoyable to the ear.

Band members Micha Pueschel (guitar-vocals), Kai Rediske (vocals-percussion), Adam Taylor (bass), Joseph Dickens (drums), and Cayson Peterson (keyboards) perform together to make the crowd sing and dance along to their music.

On Sept. 27th, at the world beat center in Balboa Park, Iration played their well known to soon to be well-known songs as the crowd yelled out band members’ names and band name.

In 2007, Iration released their first full length album, “No Time for Rest”, featuring their single, “Cookie Jar” which reached number one in their hometown, Hawaii. The album features a performance by reggae legend, Mikey Dread (producer of The Clash and UB40).

Irations’ “No Time for Rest” features reggae melodies that soothe the atmosphere and make the body groove, with lyrics such as, ” reggae music is the fire, burning by us everyday, the Babylon try to stop us, but they can never take away, Iration rise up the ashes, with the new root sound”(Fire).

Making unique and intriguing tunes, with the drums, keyboards, and percussions, they make you want to rock back and forth with a fist up feeling the song.

Not only does Iration have mellow melodies like “Fire,” they also play more upbeat, hip tracks, like “All night” with lyrics ” the clock strikes one, I want you all night long moving up slow, I never loose control, said are you in the mood, just let the base line run, and I just got to know just why your all alone.”

This adds a sexier vibe to the song and beat.

One of Irations newest hit songs “Falling” covers a love song about a guy falling all over in love with a gal and how he is “falling, sitting here waiting for you, said I’m falling, hoping that you feel this way too” uncovering the bands gentle side.

This year, Iration went on a national tour with well-know punk-rock band Pepper. In 6
