“Earth: The Sequel” is an innovative approach, “The New Testament” as you will, for the emerging eco-friendly energy markets. It’s a message to the masses on how we can reduce green house gases and be competitive in the energy market worldwide while reducing our dependency on foreign oil.
There was a recent lecture and book signing at the Natural History Museum at Balboa Park by the semi-famous, depending on what circles you travel in, President of the Environmental Defense Fund and Yale Graduate Fred Krupp, the author of “Earth: The Sequel.”
The Environmental Defense Fund is a national nonprofit organization that links science, law, and innovation to create breakthrough solutions to the most serious environmental problems according to Krupp’s web site: www.earththesequel.edf.org.
For over 20 years, Krupp has been trying to cure the ills of man upon the planet. He helped produce with George Bush Senior the 1990 Clean Air Act that targeted the reduction of sulfur dioxides, or acid rain, in the atmosphere.
Krupp has also helped implement a cap and trade system which allows companies to lower their sulfur dioxide emissions with a point based system, then trade their extra points on the open market for hard currency to companies who needed to produce higher levels of emissions.
The 1990 Clean Air Act reduced the sulfur dioxide emissions by over 50 percent seemingly overnight. Now Krupp with the help of large corporations like DuPont, FedEx, and McDonalds and powerful senators like Nancy Pelosi, is attempting to pass a bill this year through the House of Representatives for a cap and trade system that would lower carbon emissions in our atmosphere.
Krupp goes into detail explaining emerging technologies and business plans of some of the most free thinking, free spirited minds of today. These new age mavericks are not afraid to take heavy risks where profits can easily be acquired through lowering carbon emissions and selling credits on a worldwide market within an international declining cap incentive.
In order to live a cleaner future we must do our part today, and that means supporting the advancements of innovation through research and development, buying stocks of emerging green companies, and telling Washington representatives what is important to you, your family, and your earth.
“Earth: The Sequel” goes on sale this March at most of the major book stores nationwide. I highly recommend buying it to educate yourself on the emerging eco-friendly energy companies that are going to change the way we think and feel about energy, business, and the environment. Take a peek into this visionary’s mind and get a tiny glimpse of what is coming in the near future.
You are either part of the problem or part of the solution. There are no shades of grey when it comes to self-preservation. Wake up and go buy the book, I did!
