Small deeds go a long way

Holding doors open, letting someone over on the freeway, or smiling at someone as they walk by are all very simple and easy tasks. They all take seconds to complete, cost nothing, and yet the payoff is extreme. Simple gestures can make someone’s day in the blink of an eye, or maybe even save a life.

When did opening the car door for your date become “old?” When did offering part of your lunch to a hungry friend become “old?” The last time I checked, it wasn’t. It was just a part of life that rarely happens nowadays. Maybe that justifies it as being old.
